Detector: in use
The school actively uses Turnitin's AI detector with published faculty guidance: a score above about 20% does not by itself guarantee AI use, writing must be judged as a whole, and bulk-reporting students by percentage is barred. Adelphi is also where a student whose paper scored 100% sued — and in January 2026 a New York court annulled the finding as without valid basis and ordered it expunged.
“A score above 20% does not guarantee GenAI use; judge the writing holistically”

We could not verify Adelphi University's response or appeal window from published text we trust, so we do not print one. Ask the conduct office for your date in writing today, and meanwhile plan on the checker's planning deadline — five business days from your notice — rather than waiting on any website, including this one.
Run the free checker for the planning date and your evidence order.
Most schools decide these cases at a hearing or a formal meeting — a panel, an honor council, or a conduct officer. Your notice letter names yours; if it doesn't, ask the conduct office in writing who decides and in what format.
Adelphi University uses detectors, inside published limits. Cases here are decided on the whole record — which makes your trail matter more, not less. Get the full report, note every limit the school's own guidance sets, and build the binder.
Next steps: count your deadline in the free checker, build from the evidence list, and compare schools in the full table.
